Miam Miam!

Chez Alain Miam Miam – a food stall in Marché des Enfants Rouges in the north Marais.

The Marché des Enfants Rouges is a covered food market, serving cuisines from all over the world, is a must for travelers who aren’t as interested in visiting the major tourist traps, as well as Parisians themselves who want an ethnic meal. It’s no wonder this stall is called “Chez Alain Miam Miam” as miam is the french word for yum. I’d come here for this awesome character just as much as for his delicious food. Besides the mouthwatering sandwiches heating on the grill, socca, a traditional niçoise crêpe of chickpea flour, is made fresh when ordered. Just don’t expect to be in and out in 5 minutes; if you want to taste the food at Chez Alain Miam Miam, be prepared to wait for it…with good entertainment from the chef himself!
